The Chemical unit comprises of a variety of businesses involved in the chemistry and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals (zinc, lead, nickel and cadmium salts). The company also deals with the recycling division, treating metallic waste such as galvanizing remains and Ni/Cd and Li-ion batteries. The Food Division comprises of manufacturing and marketing corporations for party and gourmet food goods, such as snails, scallops, stuffed shellfish, smoked salmon, seafood salads, aperitif snacks, truffles, green pepper, ethnic dishes, etc. This division is also operational in the field of special-needs foods, for example for citizens with deglutition troubles. The Life Sciences Division is comprised of investments in businesses whose technologies or markets can add to the existing actions or to the growth of new niches within the corporation. These are business enterprise capital and private equity ventures in areas as the biological pollination using bumblebees, essential oils, plant-based enzymes, the classification of fresh receptors as pharmacological objectives or the chemistry of taste and olfaction.
