Within the airline sector, we see a low diversification of the 12-months returns. Since November last year the sector is around 19 percent lower. Among the winners we find United Continental Holdings, Turk Hava Yollari AO and Spirit Airlines. Relatively big losses were for Flybe, Gama Aviation and Finnair.
The megacaps in this sector are the winners. Among the less performing are mostly the microcaps.
Regarding the price/earnings-ratios we see a spread palette. The microcaps are with the price/earnings-ratio of 252 the most expensive. The smallcaps are the cheapest and trade at 8 times the earnings per share. Wizz Air Holdings, Air Partner and Easyjet are the stocks with the highest ratios. Stocks with the lowest ratios are Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Enter Air SA and Turk Hava Yollari AO.
The sector's average dividend yield is with 1,5 percent relatively limited. Stocks now high dividend yields now are Aegean Airlines SA, Aeroflot-Rossiyskiye Avialinii PAO and Enter Air SA.
