Beyond Meat gets the call from KFC for national launch of meatless fried chicken

  • Beyond Meat (NASDAQ:BYND) will see its meatless chicken land on the menus of KFC starting next Monday in a limited time run.
  • The KFC- Beyond Meat fried chicken product arrives right at the start of diet season.
  • The highly-anticipated national launch follows years of testing by the Yum Brands (NYSE:YUM) chain and BYND to create the right chicken substitute. The first plant-based chicken from the partnership debuted at an Atlanta restaurant in August of 2019, followed by tests in Nashville, Charlotte and southern California in 2020. Last year, Beyond announced a formal partnership with Yum to make exclusive meat substitutes for Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC.

    For this year the company from El Segundo could earn a total revenue around 465.66 million USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is rather significant more than 2021's revenue of 406.79 million USD.
