Baxter in advanced talks to acquire Hill-Rom for about $10 billion

  • Baxter International (NYSE:BAX) is in advanced discussions to buy Hill-Rom Holdings (NYSE:HRC) in a deal that could value the medical equipment maker at around $10B, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
  • The agreement to acquire Hill-Rom (HRC), valuing it at about $150 per share, could be reached as early as midweek, assuming the talks would continue, according to sources.
  • The news of the latest bid comes after Chicago-based Hill-Rom (HRC) rejected an earlier offer made by Baxter International (BAX) in July to acquire the company for $144 per share.

    Over the current book year the total revenu from the company based in Deerfield will be 12.61 billion USD (consensus estimates). This is slightly more than 2021's revenue of 11.67 billion USD.
