2020 best year, 2008 worst year for DSM

DSM-investors have very good for long times. Even without dividend payments the stock is one of the outperformers from as well chemical sector as the Dutch exchange. The received dividends are a cherry on the cake for investors.

The year 2008 was with a price loss of 42 percent the stock's worst year since 2008. 2009 was the best year for the stock as it gained 66 percent in value. The total return since 2008 till now equals even plus 601 percent.

For this year the company, based inHeerlen revenue will be around 8,6 billion euros. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is slightly lower than 2019's revenue of 9,01 billion euros.

The analysts expect for 2020 a net profit of 742 million euros. For this year most of the analysts expect a profit per share of 4,29 euros. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 32,44.

Per share the analysts expect a dividend of 2,46 euros per share. Thus the dividend yield equals 1,77 percent. The average dividend yield of the chemical companies is a limited 0,37 percent.

DSM 's market capitalization is based on the number of outstanding shares around 24,44 billion euros. The DSM stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last November the stock is even 22 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 82 and 152 euro.
