Saipem huge outperformer in European oil & gas sector

Because her big gain of 32 percent since early this year, the share is one of the better shares the sector.

The sector trades now at 17 times the earnings per share. The sector trades now at 1,39 times the book value per share. Since 2012 the sector has plus of 178 percent and since 2007 a plus of 168 percent.

For this year Saipem's revenue will be around 9 billion euros. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is slightly more than 2018's revenue of 8,54 billion euros.

The analysts expect for 2019 a net profit of 129 million euros. The majority of the analysts expects for this year a profit per share of 13 cent. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 33,08.

For this year analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the oil & gas producers is an attractive 2 percent.

Saipem's market value equals around 4,28 billion . The Saipem stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last June the stock is 16 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 3 and 6 euro.
