Tomorrow Tesco will publish its past quarter's results. Over the current book year the total revenue will be 64,2 billion GBp (consensus estimates). This is hugely more than 2017's revenue of 57,49 billion GBp.
The analysts expect for 2018 a net profit of 1,33 billion GBp. For this year most of the analysts expect a profit per share of 14 GBp. The PE-ratio therefore is 16,91.
Per share the analysts anticipate on a dividend of 5 GBp per share. Tesco 's dividend yield thus equals 2,11 percent. The average dividend yield of the food & drug retailers is a poor 1 percent.
Tesco 's market capitalization is based on the number of outstanding shares around 1935,01 billion GBp. The Tesco stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last October the stock is even 29 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 175 and 267 GBp. Since 2008 the stock price is almost 40 percent lower.
