Düsseldorf, 13.March 2025 In the 2024 financial year, ecotel has shown growth despite the challenging economic environment. Conditions have resulted in a solid outcome. Group sales increased by 8 % to 115.5 million EUR. While gross profit increased by 2 % to 33.2 million EUR, operating EBITDA even increased by 5 % to 9.5 million EUR. Consolidated net profit amounts to EUR 2.0 million, resulting in earnings per share (EPS) of 0.57 EUR per share. Dividend for 2024: 0.29 EUR per share In line with its sustainable financial strategy, the company proposes to the Annual General Meeting to pay a dividend of 0.29 EUR per share – which is just above the targeted 50% EPS. Successful development in the business segments In the ecotel business customers segment, sales increased by 4% to 48.0 million EUR, driven significantly by successes in the growth markets Cloud & Fiber. Operating EBITDA decreased slightly to EUR 8.0 million, due to targeted investments in the growth strategy and the start-up costs of customer projects. In the ecotel wholesale segment, the company achieved a significant increase in sales from 12% or 7.5 million EUR to 67.6 million EUR, in particular through the successful marketing of data lines for national and international carriers. Outlook for 2025 For the year 2025, ecotel plans a group turnover in the range of EUR 117 to 125 million. The company expects revenue growth in the business customer segment of between EUR 49 and 53 million, as well as revenue growth in the wholesale segment of between EUR 68 and 72 million. Operating EBITDA is expected to increase significantly to a value of 10 to 11.5 million EUR.
The Management Board is forecasting considerable increase in sales in the ecotel Business Customers segment in 2025 and 2026 because the investments in marketing and accompanying measures will continue to have a positive impact on incoming orders, while the aforementioned major projects are expected to be fully reflected in sales by this time. Accordingly, the Management Board considers annual growth in the ecotel Business Customers segment of around 10% to be achievable. Operating EBITDA has the potential to increase to up to € 15 million in 2025 and 2026 on the back of the effects described above.
