Sipef (Societe Internationale de Plantations et de Finance) is a leading Belgium based agro industrial conglomerate operating in the sector of plantations. The foundation of the company has been laid down back in the year of 1919 with one of the main aim of providing the developmental and management facilities to agro industrial firms that are in need of plantation in the tropical and sub-tropical regions. Two agencies, first one in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and the second one in Medan (Indonesia) are present at the initial stage of the development of the company. The company has possessions of plantations in the areas of the Ivory Coast, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia covers the grounds of 62,000 hectares of land to be utilized as the planting fields for the work.

Currently, the work of the firm is being handled out with two of the key personalities of the company namely, Baron Bracht as the Chairman and Francois Van Hoydonck as the Chief Executive Office of the company. The shares of the company are being listed on the index of NYSE Euronext Brussels stock exchange and the major count of shares of the company are holded by tropical business owners, those shares being managed and operated by them.
Most of the undertakings of the group include the investing in developing regions, in which numerous amounts of possessions like palm oil are produced in different geographically sustainable areas.

The overall amount of revenue generation of the industry comes mainly from the geologically varied products, among which 78 % of the productivity comes from palm-oil as per the data of the year 2011, following the other most important ones like tea, plants, fruits and rubber. Among the main auxiliary units of the group involves PT Agro Muara Rupit, Hargy-Oil Palms Limited, Galley Reach Holdings Limited, J. Eglin Plantations and Jabelmalux. Added to the other services of the company, one of the different strategies that are being followed by the firm includes managing and marketed efforts for third-parties initiatives.
