Euronav is a leading multinational company which deals in Maritime Transport and is an upright proprietor operator and proficient to presents complete shipping services in count to its fleet of modern large tankers. Fleet supervision is carried out by three wholly owned subordinates Euronav Ship Management SA and Euronav SAS, both French companies with headquarters in Nantes, France and with a major branch office in Antwerp, Belgium and Euronav Ship Management (Hellas) Ltd. Euronav is the descendant of European Navigation Company Ltd. which in 1995 sold vessels, subsidiary, crewing and technical, management corporation and goodwill to Euronav Luxembourg NV to outline an enterprise between CNN and Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB). In 1997 CMB purchased CNN and reassign Euronav Luxembourg NV into the entire possession of the CMB. CMB was modernized between 1992 and 2003 by selling possessions which did not concentrate on the direct possession and function of ships.
The Euronav group was reorganized under the possession of the company located in CMB's offices in Luxembourg, Euronav Luxembourg SA. With the materialization of Belgian tonnage tax the corporation was further rationalized with the amalgamation of Euronav NV as the proprietor of non French flag tonnage and the achievement by Euronav NV of Euronav Luxembourg so as to organize the Euronav Group for the division from CMB and the ultimate public listing on Euronext.
